I really hate shopping at…
target. Any day, any TIME of the day, it’s crowded with every asshole, hipster and idiot from here to the schuylkill river. The parking lot (equivalent to 2 city blocks long, perhaps two wide) is always jammed packed. Cars circle the parking lot looking for a space closer to the door, even by just a few feet and pay no mind to innocent walkers trying to cross in the cross walk. Alternatively, everyone else wanders in the parking lot and self assured hipster assholes stroll through the parking lot at turtle-like speeds and clog up both lanes.
Target, despite have every register known to man open – will have lines that extend far into the isles. Everything is always picked over. I wanna know what god damned bigfoot woman is buying up all the size 11 shoes before I get there, and why she also feels the need to buy up all the medium/large sized skivvies and dresses.
I’d rather go to the post office at 4:45 on an afternoon than this mecca of crazy! However, Target is [sadly] the only place (outside of the falling apart K Mart and the unmentionable 5th layer of hell that is known as WAL MART) where you can buy a stick of deodorant, computer mouse, mailing tape, some candy and a dress in one shop.
But god damn it, why is is a fucking magnet for every crazy, self absorbed, self-entitled asshat with NO common manners?

Oddly enough, the Wal Marts in Ohio were kind of nice… I mean, for a place that sold cheap Chinese-made crap.
As opposed to the “Sparkle Market” grocery store where the floor was missing tiles, you had fuck-all for selection, and it was rare indeed when more than two registers were open at a time. Plus anytime you told anyone you going there it sounded like you were heading out to cruise for strange cocks.
To me it sounds like you’re describing WalMart. Target out my way is hot. But yours is within rock throwing distance of Show and Tell, so it’s six of one and half dozen of the other.
Actually, all of the above mentioned things are nicer down here; it all depends on what sides of town you’re on.
The only time I go to either Target or Kmart is if I really need something cheap and nasty and I’m willing to fight through the Golden Horde for it.
Yup, my Chinese brethern love 24 hour shopping at Kmart. Maybe it’s a nostalgia thing, with all the Chinese made shite for sale.
Even though I have to drive 45 minutes to get to one, I love going to Wal-Mart, because I ALWAYS see funny-looking people there. Always. And I work nights, so I go late. I also always see someone there at 3 a.m. with their toddlers and elementary-aged children. On a weeknight. I don’t have a Target in this area, but the one in Corpus is fairly nice. Once when I was working late, I was on Corpus net instead of County for some reason and heard the PD get dispatched there for a guy threatening a manager with a firearm at like 10 a.m. Gotta love the Greenwood area – despite all the money pumped into developing it, it’s still a total Mexican town.
And all these liberals that bitch about Wal-Mart being the corporate giant never had to live someplace without one. It’s bad when even with the gas prices I still save money driving that far versus shopping local. I’ll start giving a shit about the little guy when he stops raping me. Maaaan, fuck Super S Foods! Same premise with buying American cars – when they make one better than the foreigners, and I can afford it, I’ll buy one. Until then, I’m going with the economical choice.
