For those of you who’ve ever wondered what it’s like being a tattoo artist, just read the following, which I found on emailsfromcrazypeople.com.

some guy: what do u charge for a pentacle tattoo?
me: 50$ minimum price for a tattoo. How big did you want it?
Some guy: well there is this other guy on there doin tattoos for 30
me: Have that person do the tattoo then.
some guy: butt I like ur work better
me: Well then the minimum is 50$.
some guy: if he can charge 30 u can charge me 30 to
me: No I charge 50$.
some guy: thats so fucked up y do all the better tattooers charge so much more money its a monopoly on the tattoo industry its bullshit ur like the 10th tattooer who wants more than im willing to pay n its 4ever so I want it done rite
me: Did you ever hear the phrase “you get what you pay for” ? also 50$ is really cheap for a tattoo the supplies alone cost around 25$. I want to get paid for my labor.
some guy: will u take a trade
me: What do you have to trade?
some guy: 55 galon fish tank its has a small crake, I gots a ikea coffe table, ceiling fan, chevy lumina altenator , sheep skin rug, small cactus, xbox games, crib, boys baby clothes, I can give u massage
me: No thanks
some guy: that fish tank alone cost me over 300, the coffee table was like 50, the fan 80, the altenator like 80, the cactus like 10, xbox games like 100reds, crib like 400, clothes a lot, ladies pay me for massages
me: The concept of a trade is you have something that I want and you don’t have anything I want, and all your shit is used so its not worth what you paid for it. It is worth less. plus I don’t want a cracked fish tank, I have a coffee table, I live in an apt so the ceiling fan is out, I don’t have a chey lumina, I don’t want a cactus,I have a ps3 not and xbox, I don’t have a baby, and I doubt women pay you for massages.
some guy: im the best massager there eva was u don’t know shit about me I have mad ladies calling me up for massages I work in a very repuatable massage place. with ur attitude and proffesionalism u wont get anybody who want a tattoo
me: If you were a masseuse you would know it wasn’t called massager. Im ending this craziness please stop emailing me.
some guy: I gonna go on craigslist and flag your post so who has the last laff now
me: I have the last laugh you have the last laff what ever the fuck that is. hahaha learn to spell. Plus I can always repost on craigslist.

People of Walmart

Due to the economy and my measly pay not playing nice I started shopping at the mecca of crazy known as Walmart . Not for much, just the big things, the little things still come from the crazy haven known as Pathmark.

I tuned my boyfriend into the cheapness that is Walmart, and now he’s hooked. Dreams of finally furnishing our media room, actually owning a blender and a bin of DVDS, all for a bargain… the cheapness made his mouth salivate. We avoided Walmart as long as we could. I wouldn’t even step foot in there in the early part of the 00s, even when furnished with the knowledge that they were carrying my favorite, discontinued lip gloss. I felt I had better standards than that! But crippling student loans, housing bills and an economy in the shitter 9 years later and here I am, looking for bargains.

I found out quickly that Walmart is all about crazy, at any given hour the parking lot will be jammed with cars, and the people will be aimlessly wandering around like they are auditioning for the next Thriller remake. Inside the walls holds an even more satisfying helping of insanity. The stores are in shambles, kids running everywhere while parents beat them in public, or stuff there face at the fast foid joint located inside. Mullets galore, horrible red neck fashion… I could go on.

When we go to Walmart, we savor the humanity, for all it is. Glorious, crazy and trashy. We also try to go over to Deptford, NJ to ease the pain a bit – it’s a lot less crazy there than South Philadelphia.
Someone else has begun to enjoy this crazy castle, and document it for what it is. My friends, I give you, PEOPLE OF WALMART DOT COM.

I know I throw up a lot of stuff on here with no introductions or lead ins, but really, most of the time it doesn’t need it. In this case however, I’d like to say that if you like the Techno Viking and think Henry Rollins is a pompous curmudgeon then this is the video for you.

Mr. Porter takes Henry ranting about techno and rave culture (Uh, does anybody even care about this? I mean, we all know it sucks Henry, but thanks once again for illuminating the obvious for us.) and turns it into Henry singing and dancing to his own little techno tune. He also throws in the Techno Viking for good measure.

Way to go Mr. Porter!

Fuck the Police

Did I ever mention that I hate cops? What a bunch of lazy two faced lying sacks of shit. In my whole life there’s only been one person I’ve ever known personally that either wanted to be a cop or became a cop that wasn’t a complete douchebag who should have never been placed in a position of authority.

I just read a nice little story on CNN today that illustrates what kind of assholes cops are. In 2004 a three year old girl named Riley Fox disappeared from her home one night as her brother and father were sleeping nearby. She was later found dead in a nearby creek. She was bound with duct tape and had been raped. It’s thought that she had been tossed into the creek to drown from a nearby bridge.

Now, in cases such as these, the father often is the culprit and he’s grilled relentlessly until he confesses. In this case however, five months passed before the police decided it was time to put her father through a grueling 14 hour interrogation session during which they obtained his false confession.

Kevin Fox spent eight months in jail before DNA evidence finally exonerated him and nullified his false confession. You would think that at this point the police would actually get to work on the case… I mean shit bubba! The daddy didn’t do it, now we actually gotta go find the killer. Instead, they sat idle for another FOUR YEARS and did nothing.

The case is finally being investigated again and the FBI is involved. Hopefully some actual police work will be done and justice will be delivered.

Cop Shooter Gets Roughed up by Police

Here’s a story about a guy who shot an officer in the face at the police station and escaped only to be caught nearby. Somewhere in the process he got his ass beat. Now, I’m no fan of police brutality, but when you kill an officer in the police station you gotta kind of expect a serious ass beating is coming your way. Like Chris Rock said, “if the cops gotta chase ya, they’re bringing an ass beating with them.”
